"I Am Not Your Negro" Screening & Discussion

On October 5, 2017 the east Alabama community gathered at Langdon Hall (Auburn University) to view the award winning documentary film I Am Not Your Negro which examines the life of James Baldwin and the racist American society that he witnessed during his lifetime. A community panel discussion followed the screening and was led by Auburn professors Dr. Adrienne Duke (College of Human Sciences, Human Development and Family Studies) and Dr. Julia Charles (College of Liberal Arts, English and Literature), and community artivist Richard Trammel (AU ‘15). This event was presented in partnership with the Auburn University Libraries and the Auburn University College of Liberal Arts Outreach Department.
